Wood panel industry shows growing interest in Plantics

Plantics’ plant-based bio-resin is emerging as an innovative solution for wood panel manufacturers seeking to enhance the sustainability and circularity of their production processes. This was particularly evident last October at the European Wood-based Materials Symposium in Hamburg, where many manufacturers expressed interest in the potential of Plantics’ offerings.

At this key industry event, the focus on transitioning to more sustainable panel production was front and center. With upcoming regulations and increasing consumer demand for sustainable alternatives, manufacturers are actively seeking new options.

Significant interest

Plantics CEO Wridzer Bakker and Director of Business Development Leo Kruit showcased the diverse applications of Plantics’ plant-based resins through an engaging poster presentation. “We saw a strong interest from wood panel manufacturers in our product,” said Leo Kruit. “The circularity of products made with our resin particularly resonates with them. As a result, we connected with many new industry players and scheduled several follow-up meetings.”
